On Friday, July 4, City offices will be closed. Westerville Parks and Recreation will hold special holiday hours at the Westerville Community Center 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. and Highlands Park Aquatic Center 11 a.m. - 7 p.m. The community parade kicks off at 1 p.m., and fireworks launch at dusk. Walnut Street Recreational Path improvements will begin the week of June 16. Improvements include construction of a new recreational path along the south side of Walnut St between Hempstead Rd and Spring Rd and the replacement of the Spring Run pedestrian bridge. Trees scheduled for removal as part of this project will be flagged with yellow tape. Click for more.

Due to high volume, Rumpke was unable to complete the entire Westerville route yesterday (Wednesday, May 28). Rumpke reports that they are working to complete the route this morning. If you still have trash in need of collection this afternoon, please contact the Westerville Public Service Department at (614) 901-6740.
