Westerville Parks and Recreation strives to provide access to all. The Adaptive and Inclusive Program, for ages 13 years old and up, is designed for individuals with disabilities and/or require special assistance under the supervision of trained leaders. Westerville Parks and Recreation believes everyone deserves the opportunity to participate in leisure activities to the fullest, increasing their quality of life.

From the joy of swimming with friends at the Annual Splash Party to the freedom of walking through the parks or even the entertainment of catching a sports game in action, it's all covered! These fun activities, games, dances and events allow everyone to enjoy the benefits of Parks and Recreation. See what's ahead this season: Spring Adaptive and Inclusive Classes [pdf]

A signature Adaptive and Inclusive Event is the #ALLIN Resource Fair. This event connects the differently-abled community with art and recreation opportunities within the greater Columbus area. See a list of the participating vendors from the 2019 Resource Fair: #ALLIN Resource Guide [pdf]

Did you know that ALL Parks and Recreation programs are inclusive? Whether you choose to participate in the adaptive programs or general programs, Parks and Recreation staff will work with you to help you get the most of every activity. Persons needing one-on-one assistance or modifications during programs should set up a meeting with the Adaptive and Inclusion Specialist prior to registration to discuss the needs of the participant.

ALL persons participating must complete a Medical Information Form before the start of a program. For more information, please contact the Adaptive and Inclusion Specialist at 614-901-6500.
