Party at the Creek is back at Alum Creek Park North on Thursday, May 23 from 6-8 p.m. Join the Westerville Parks and Recreation Department for this annual event celebrating community partners and City programs that contribute to an environmentally-friendly (and fun!) Westerville. There will be food trucks, nature-themed activities and entertainment for the whole family.
Local environmental organizations will line the pathway of the park to provide demonstrations and exhibits. Regional wildlife and animals will be there and educational opportunities ranging from arts and crafts to safety programs will be featured. You can also participate in canoeing, street hockey, lawn games and a scavenger hunt. Other new additions this year include bounces houses, an obstacle course, professional face painting, balloon twisting and caricature artists. DJ Matt Ryan will spin music throughout the night.
Come hungry to visit these local food trucks on site: Pitabilities; The Pit BBQ Grill; Tortillas Street Food; SweeT's Southern Food Truck and Sweet Tooth Twisted Ice Cream.
And don’t forget to ride your bike to the celebration. A bike corral will be set up to securely store your bike while you enjoy the event, courtesy of the Westerville Bicycle Club. The City will also give out a limited number of bike helmets to attendees.
