64 E. Walnut St. Lobby Reopens
Construction to improve customer experience at the City facility, located at 64 E. Walnut St., is complete. The lobby and main entrance reopened Monday, March 19 after five months of construction.
The building, which houses the City’s Utility Billing, Income Tax, Planning & Development, some Parks and Recreation programming and Information Systems operations, now features more space for City staff and members of the public to meet. The project also provided for improved ADA accommodations and security improvements.
Features include new furnishings like high top-style tables and more seating so that customers and staff can interact in a more comfortable environment. The space now features a new Income Tax consultation room with better lighting and new furnishings. Expandable meeting space with a movable partition was constructed to accommodate several smaller meetings or one large meeting.
